Why am I not getting mentions?

If you're not seeing any mentions, or far fewer than expected, it's likely due to listener setup. Here are the most common issues to check:

1. Keyword Formatting Issues

Common formatting problems: - Typos in your search terms - Special characters that interfere with search - using operators like AND or OR in your search query (our system will see them as part of your keyword)

2. Your Email Providers Filters Out Redmonitor Emails

Due to the massive amount of notifications we send, it's easy for email providers to mark our mails as promotions or even spam. Whitelist our emails to avoid the issue.

3. You've Reached Your Credit Limit

If you've hit your monthly credit quota, new mentions will be paused until your next billing cycle.

You receive an email once you hit your quota for the month.

You can check how many credits you have left in the bottom left of the dashboard menu.

Avoid adding keywords that are too common, to not use up your credit budget prematurely. Or upgrade your plan.

4. Negative Keywords Are Too Restrictive

You might have added common words as your negative keywords that prevent a large number of mentions to get through.

Quick Troubleshooting Steps

1. Pick a listener that has Reddit activated.
2. Create a new post in the test subreddit on Reddit using your keyword.
3. You should receive a notification within seconds, at most 1-2 minutes.
